Planting

Before deciding on what to plant, or where to plant it, it is best to try to understand a little about the conditions and environment in which your plants will be growing, and what effect these can have on the life of your plants.

It is also good to have a basic understanding of the plants themselves. Understanding what the various parts of the plant do, and how they look, can help with diagnosing problems, or recognising that strange plant that has just appeared in your garden.

Some of the pieces I have included on these links go into more detail than the average person may want, but there again, there's nothing wrong with gaining more knowledge.

Some have also been taken from my work when studying horticulture, so may also be of interest to anybody wishing to study the subject in more depth.
