In
it's riverside setting, Ingleton's open-air heated
swimming pool is an idyllic place to swim. The pool is
managed by the local community. It was dug out and
built by local volunteers in 1933 and the workers
included miners from the New Ingleton Colliery, which
closed in 1936. Open for around
three months during the summer season, the pool
has recently been improved and modernised and is a
popular attraction with both locals and visitors.
There are various public swimming sessions daily, with additional senior member only sessions on weekdays. The pool is available for private hire and also for organized swimming lessons.
Refreshments
A variety of refreshments for both swimmers and spectators alike are available from our kiosk. When you visit, why not try from our range of hot and cold beverages, snacks, confectionery or ices.
